Its a covered area where you could wait before you board a bus, its warm and you also get hot coffee and snacks from on site shops run by Greyhound. Greyhound also provided me with a 10%discount on food as a first time user! Also you have clean restrooms.
They are not very helpful. They don't even want to answer any questions. I have traveled to the NYC and Philadelphia almost every month. Every single greyhound employees I have ever met they have high attitude. I understand that they are doing great job helping millions of customers. But they need to be do it more professional way. Greyhound is cheaper than Amtrak doesn't mean we don't deserve any professional courtesy......?
Great way to commute to NY from Mt Laurel. Lots of choices. Very economical. To those people who have been talking about taking the train, that is 3 times as expensive and that is just as unreliable as this. In addition, buses are subject to the general road traffic so the earlier you leave, the more consistent your duration to arrive at your destination is going to be. On the other hand if you leave by 5 pm to go back home then yes you would face a lot of traffics despite the fact that there are some high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes.
Now that we've experienced using the bus we're already planning future trips
First time using Greyhound bus. Eight of us took the bus from Mt. Laurel to NY to see the Rockettes Christmas show. Terminals were acceptably clean as well as the busses, ticket counter staff could use a dose of pleasantry or a pay raise but bus drivers are friendly, understanding, helpful, considerate and professional. While at the gate in NY there was a commotion with a street person, in the terminal, that was getting loud, the driver moved us outside "so the kids don't have to see that".
You wouldn't believe the amount of people who do not know that Greyhound has a package express in a lot of cases you can get your packets to his destination in the same day. I sent the package from Philadelphia to Richmond and it got there within 6 hours. Awesome
